spent a nice day today eating, shopping and then ending it off with a 3hr + long movie about Gandhi back in school.
the newfound shopping place is ....................... CHINATOWN.
i was pleasantly surprise with an entire floor of shopping, good material (even if aunties dont share the same style as you, they sure as hell appreciate better material) and good prices. needless to say, that made me very happy!
The Gandhi film was a to-watch for the leadership module which i am actually glad that it is so since it wouldnt be some movie i'd pick to watch. as the movie started in a flashback and began with the assassination of Gandhi, hx asked why was he assassinated. to my horror, i realized that i didnt really know the details. everyone knew who Gandhi was, but really WHO IS HE, i think there are people, like me, who never quite bothered to find out.
this whole issue of human conflict for religion, for land just presents itself in this movie and makes me wonder why do humans not see things the way this man did. the call for equality, unity and his belief in non-violence. if people could see the way he did, all the wars then and now would be uncalled for.
send the terrorists some dvds please.
