Dove's Real Beauty campaign - non local
someone in the advertising class made this comment: (summarized)
"the girls in the real beauty campaign may not be the top 5% of what is considered beautiful. but they should be at least the top 20% (because lets face it, the girls in the ad are still beautiful). and when normal people like us watch this ad, and realize we aren't even in this same league as them and not just the top models (the cream of the crop), it justs makes them feel worse."
i thought it made sense. but man, this person must be a heck of a cynic.

my dear, i posted the dove ad before. haha. don't know if your ad is the same one as mine, because they have several versions if i am not wrong. And someone at youtube made the same comment. But this is what I feel. I think, they used decent looking girls because many girls find faults with themselves though they are perfectly fine. Isn't that true? Then looking back at the ad, i find the advertisement very true. Because it is obvious these girls look fine, but still, they are plagued by that skewed concept of beauty.
Anyway, my three cents worth. Also, I still can't tag on your board. Which is why, you never see my name there. =) Well, just in case you are wondering. I still love you, you know. Haha. Kie then, catch up soon.
Love,
drey
