i totally hate wrapping presents

gan wanted to find an outlet to get rid of her old clothes so hence the stall she booked at the flea coming up in June. I'd be helping her, so if anyoneof you have clothes/bags/accessories you are sick of, u can clear them off to the garang guni here!

Retail Bleeding

finally got the long overdued fabric for the room's curtains. this room revamp is going to take some very long time - fabric already cost $75 what more a new bed, mattress, wardrobe & new paint? (and on top of that - europe, japan & korea!)

bled more with more shopping for the family but on my bill. but well, its chinese new year! so... as long as we are happy.

hmm, maybe a new coat of paint would make a very good present this year!

now that we are in the midst of planning the parties/gatherings, december is indeed nearing.

we thought we had everything under control - with accommodations booked, itinerary planned, budgeting done, bags packed (for the kiasu me) and money changed yesterday at Chinatown until.................. maggie realized this morning that we shortchanged yb's money.

i think now the guys will know better than to put 2 girls who are insensitive to numbers and blur in charge of any matter that involves money/numbers/counting. fortunately we got it settled after going down to chinatown again and a certain amount of argument and finger pointing with the moneychanger. (PHEW.)

this will teach me to be more careful and less complacent! may everything go smoothly from hereon.... 10 more days to taiwan!

i should start focusing on the final lap

that's just me,
everytime before i embark on a trip, i spend a lot of time doing online research for the itinerary planning.
planning the trip, to me, is part of the fun of the trip
seeing it slowly manifest into reality just makes you look forward to it more.

now, if there's a research job that only pertains to travel research. i wouldn't mind it at all!

today, i came across this PR job posting and its looking for people who are into chinese entertainment - taiwan / canto. i turned to ric (who was in class with me) and said "eh, i think its calling out to me."

$2000 / month. Yup, these are the kind of jobs that are calling out to me.

the first time i did a typing speed test was for my 1st job application. i took a random book, typed and timed myself. when i reported it to Nicole (my job agent who got me the job at FedEx) she was like 'that's quite fast'.

people from other generation, i think, do not use the correct method to type. There is a way really. When I first got my desktop in primary school, I did not play games like most kids would (im not a gamer really), but spent my time on this CD-ROM which teaches me how to type correctly. like where to place your fingers etc. Its quite fun really!

BUT the bulk of my training came from the IRC. trust me we typed fast and furious then. if you know what I mean, again, we are so from the 80's.
